1 March 2005: A family renting a beach house near Swansea, Tasmania discovered a canoe, stored under the house. The father and two daughters decided to go for a paddle. Once on the water, the canoe was blown offshore in rising winds and capsized. Coast Guard Freycinet volunteers were called to rescue the family. The two children were suffering from hypothermia and required medical treatment.…
