Corporate Consultancy - GlaxoSmithKline
| Name of Entity |
GlaxoSmithKline |
| Consultancy Undertaken |
- GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) have demonstrated both internationally and in Australia, through their involvement in a number of significant programs, that the company is committed to supporting community organisations and setting a best practice benchmark for corporate social responsibility.
- GSK's mission is far reaching: To improve the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer.
- Community Partnership Developments are not only a value adding business strategy; they are also becoming business imperatives. They add value strategically and also act as one tool to guide the "spirit" of the organisation and its employees
|
| Objective |
- A well developed and dynamic community program forms an essential part of this mission. As part of this realization by GSK Consumer Health Care, $300,000 over three years has been allocated for donations to chosen charitable organisation(s) whose charitable objectives match the corporate objectives and culture of GSK.
- This proposal outlines, as requested by Ines Villaveces, a suggested methodology to find the "best fit" charitable organisation(s) and a project that will, by way of receiving this funding make a significant impact to the 'health and well being' of those it supports.
|
| CAF's Role |
- identify the most appropriate partner(s) and project(s);
- ensure 'best strategic advantage' is taken;
- perform due diligence checks to ensure the organisation has the ability to carry out the chosen project in an effective manner;
- ensure funds are used correctly and as requested by the GSK;
- encourage GSK staff involvement, and
offer periodic audits as to progress made.
